Contract signed 1/28 and requested…
Contract signed 1/28 and requested cancelation 1/30/2025 because it seemed to be silence in communication and I originally mentioned my needs are urgent. I received messages from Lyn, Rhommelyn Filipinas, Nikole T., and finally Jenica Castillio who assured me that they were working on my request, but it still seemed to take days to get responses. I finally interviewed three candidates on 2/8 and selected John Paul who was selected only to resign three days after starting. I was assured by Jenica that Virtu desk employees were trained professionals. My experience did not reveal that. I once again asked to cancel this contract and was willing to get a 10% deduction from my $450 fee since they charged me for the set-up and time for John Paul. Carlo, who was supposed to be their top assistant manager had someone who was experienced and knowledgeable in web updating and social media marketing for products. Trying to be fair even though this candidate was 10 minutes late and did not present the requested marketing project that everyone was given, I gave an additional day for her to prepare and give her presentation the following day. I gave VERY specific instructions while Carlo was on the line. The following day, I get an updated meeting request from Carlo moving the interview from 2/18 to 2/19 without any communications to me. Then I find out through email he presented someone who want not a good fit. I had no more patience and asked for a 4th time for my refund only to be told it was beyond the timeline to get a refund. I paid for services I never received. I feel I was victim of being gaslighted. I just want at least 80% of my money back.

Avoid Virtudesk at all costs.
Pros: Full of BS! This is ideal for people seeking flexible work arrangements, though it depends on securing clients, which seems to be an issue. | Cons: Virtudesk is frustrating, and I would not recommend them to anyone. The whole process feels like a complete waste of time and energy. First, they ask for extensive requirements, making you jump through hoops just to get started. You spend all this time providing documents, completing forms, and going through their training process, only to find out that once you're trained, you're left in the dark with nothing to do. The real kicker is the wait time. After training, you're told to wait, but months go by without any updates or work coming your way. They don’t have enough clients to offer opportunities to everyone they've trained, and they seem to be struggling to secure any new business. You’ll keep reaching out, only to be met with silence or vague responses. It's incredibly unprofessional, and you feel completely ghosted. I understand business can be slow sometimes, but there’s zero communication or transparency from their side. You're left with nothing but frustration and a lot of wasted time. They promise you work, but in reality, they have nothing to offer. If you’re looking for a reliable agency to partner with, avoid Virtudesk at all costs. You'll spend weeks or even months doing nothing, and at the end of it, you'll feel like you’ve gained absolutely nothing from the experience. It's just not worth it.

Supportive Workplace with Great Perks, But Limited Flexibility for Freelancers
Pros: The management is excellent, and the bosses are approachable and supportive. They offer great perks like HMO coverage and paid leaves. | Cons: Unfortunately, as an independent contractor (IC), there are no statutory benefits like SSS or Pag-IBIG. Additionally, side gigs are not allowed, limiting additional income opportunities.

The company exemplifies family-work-life balance
Pros: From day one, I felt welcomed and supported by both my colleagues and management, which has made a significant difference in my overall job satisfaction. I also appreciate the emphasis on work-life balance—having the flexibility to manage my schedule allows me to be more productive and engaged. Moreover, the collaborative culture here is outstanding; I love working alongside talented individuals who are open to sharing ideas and feedback. It’s inspiring to be part of a team where innovation is encouraged, and everyone’s contributions are valued. | Cons: requiring medical certificate when taking absence due to sickness.

An amazing place to grow and excel
Pros: The team environment is collaborative, and there's a strong sense of community. Colleagues are respectful, hardworking and always willing to lend a hand. | Cons: At times, the pace can be fast, which may feel overwhelming for some. However, with the right mindset, it becomes a great learning experience

Really good company to start with
Pros: Training was in depth, you get graded on your projects, then 2-4 mock interviews. You can also take additional course if you want to learn how to do other tasks which is really helpful. | Cons: I didn't like the way the clients were treated as "kings". I understand they bring in the money etc etc, it just felt that VD was always with the clients side instead of ours. Love the coaches btw!

Somewhat OKAY
Pros: Working at Virtudesk is a so...so... You'll have a TL when you undergo a client interview. Your TL will give you some tips about the client before the start of your interview. I guess that it the only good thing that I remembered. | Cons: Someone spoils almost half of our pay or salary was credited to the company and only 2% were just for the employee.

Okay for wanting to start VA journey without experience.
Pros: You get to learn a lot on their training, especially coming from a different field and want to jumpstart you VA career. | Cons: They charge clients $15-$20 an hour and you only get $3-$5 from it. Nightshift also. And they have a company tracker installed on your device. No benefits also unless you get an actual client for a year.

Dont work here.
Pros: They have clients that you can work with. | Cons: you will need to wait for many weeks in order to be interviewed by client but its also not a guarantee you will be chosen so work is not guaranteed. You will not be protected by this company.

Okay company (5/10)
Pros: Training and employee-focused company. Good management of supervisors. Good for entry-level virtual assistant job seekers. | Cons: Use of time tracker when working. The training fee is paid after pairing with the first client. Many graduates of training are still docked with no clients.

Unbiased review about Virtudesk
Pros: - Virtudesk has a great support team from training and placements to operations especially if you're assigned to a dedicated account manager. - The salary is ALWAYS on time. Sometimes early, never late. - There is a lot of training available even when you already have a client. - Everything is structured and organized. | Cons: - It's quite difficult to get a client whether you're a newbie or an experienced VA. The current VA market is competitive so you really have to up your game to make sure you secure a client. I tell you though, it's challenging so you must be up for a challenge. - Since it's difficult to get a client, it's possible you won't get hired as soon as possible or at all so make sure you have backup options and you're not in need to get hired ASAP or put food on the table ASAP because it takes time but they'll guide you through it as long as you're willing and actively looking for clients. Give yourself 3-4 weeks.
