Internal wired thermostats has no…

Internal wired thermostats has no reference to reality. When temperature in room is 22 it reads 25.5 and triggers heating inappropriately. Best avoided as overtime replacing them will be reimbursed by savings on heating.

Great system, Clever design

Great system, clever design. The boards are very easy to install and show where to screw and where water pipes are. Omnie staff very helpful and kept me informed on my order. No probs.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Carpenters on a job had put a nail through an underfloor heating pipe. I had requested repair couplings, despite it being ordered before 3:30 p.m. for next-day delivery, it has not been sent until this morning, which means it will arrive a day later and has now messed up the job for me. Additionally, I ended up paying double the price for the parts compared to the initial quote they gave me.

Dreadful Service

Ordered an UFH system from Omnie which was deliver at the start of June with no thermostats or control centre just a note to say these would follow. I chased these several times over the next four weeks, often to get no reply or be told they are awaiting stock. After 4 weeks, and a big delay to our project I called again and was told it would be quicker if I purchased these else where ‘as Omnie buy these in and just add our branding’. Can’t see why Omnie can’t get hold of these as they were delivered the next day. Omnie promised a refund on the parts they couldn’t supply, and now another month has passed and still no refund. Again my emails go unanswered, when I called I was told that they have had a changed of IT system? Not really my problem - I just want my refund. (An apology would also be nice but I’m not holding my breath.)

This is the worst place for customer…

This is the worst place for customer service and after sales care! Unreal for a relatively small company, they never got back to me with an updated quote for the final room on my project after spending £13K worth of equipment. Now I am stuck with their product which works really well but can’t finish the last room! Absolutely pathetic

A complete waste of our time!

A complete waste of our time! Had about a 5 weeks of communication with Omnie, various people didn't call back so had to chase again and again trying to work out the dB rating for their RdB product which it turns out, is not accurate at all. Then we were told only one part was a long lead and today was told that everything we were considering is long lead. Now need to look at other suppliers. Very poor service.

Great system

Great system. We used Omnie torfloor2 in a refurb job replacing floorboards. We glued and screwed the lower panels down so the floor is very secure and solid and the pipe nicely goes in. The top panel slot over pipes and I really like the print on it so everyone knows where the pipes are. Room was lovely an warm when we done! I did call Omnie to check some stuff but they were helpful. Had no problems, will use again on next project.

AVOID!!!!

Let’s start by saying if I could give negative number of stars I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! From start to finish the process has been appalling. Orders never arriving on time, orders never being complete even through the paperwork says parts are there. Parts we never received and refusing to send items out or it taking weeks for us to finally get the items. Continuous project delays caused by them. There scamming behaviour trying to change invoices amounts and increase the costs and going outside there own T&C’s that we signed to. The components that arrived defective and then blaming the electrical installation, then no reimbursement for the hours it took before having to go and buy a replacement as Omnie would do nothing about it when was there components defective. That puts a bad impression on its own, the system isn’t even installed, and they are not standing by the system. The months on months we waited for commissioning, then even longer to get MSC certificated and the scamming behaviour when we paid all fees, sending even more invoices. They got the grant money and then it takes weeks for them to transfer it over to us, with us having to chase multiple times. The components they supplied are substandard, the wall thermostats fall off and disconnect whilst touching the controllers. The “unique” system specification is drawn on a back of a “cigarette packet”, being generic drawing pack and not specific to the installation at all. There is also so many errors on the drawings I think a 3 year old could do better. Just avoid this company at all costs. If it wouldn’t cost too much and if I had the time I would happy rip it out and put a better companies system in – that’s how poor this company is!

Perfect start - tricky finish

Perfect start, all materials on site as arranged on time and good quality. Only missing parts were thermostats (which were on back order). However, further down the line as all floors were about done we found an issue with the delivery of the thermostats. Was advised to buy elsewhere due to lead time? Now not sure how or where I stand with any side of any warranty? However again, I'd hope that the integrity of the installed components supplied by Omnie will be upheld under warranty regardless. Could easily add (or subtract) another star if I knew the situation regarding installation of thermostatic controls "by others" - also would have given the additional star for been given advice regarding the issue instead of being just offered a refund on them. All-in-all, a straight forward product to install, but commissioning of system made hard due to Omnie's (in house) supply chain.

Expensive Nightmare

I am compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with Omnie Underfloor Heating Systems. As someone who undertook a significant renovation project, I relied on Omnie for the installation of their underfloor heating system throughout my property. What followed was an appalling series of miscommunications, incompetence, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. From the onset, communication with Omnie was a nightmare. Despite multiple emails and phone calls to maintain momentum, responses were sluggish and often took several days. Specifically, the representative handling my case, failed to provide timely and accurate information, leading to significant misunderstandings and costly mistakes. Despite clear instructions and architectural drawings that labelled the intended use of each room, including multiple verbal mentions that several areas would be tiled, Omnie proposed, supplied, and installed an MDF top board unsuitable for tiling. It wasn’t until the tilers arrived that I discovered this critical error. This oversight was confirmed by Omnie’s own team, who then had the audacity to suggest that the suitability decision should have been left to the tilers – a blatant attempt to pass the buck and avoid responsibility. To rectify this, I had to incur an additional £1,650 in costs to install a concrete layer over the existing system, not to mention the additional delays and the disruption caused to the overall project. This also impacted the bespoke oak staircases and transition joints between different flooring types, adding further complexity and expense. What’s even more infuriating is the lack of response from Omnie’s managing director, Brendan Hourican. who, after acknowledging the issue and promising to review the case, took 10 days to reply with an email that attempts to wash the company's hands of any responsibility for their mistakes, leaving me with no choice but to consider legal action. Omnie’s service has been nothing short of a nightmare, characterized by poor advice, inadequate specifications, and abysmal customer support. I strongly advise anyone considering their products to look elsewhere. Save yourself the frustration, additional costs, and the appalling lack of accountability that Omnie seems to champion.

We have waiting 3 months for delivery…

We have waiting 3 months for delivery of materials only to be told that not everything has been delivered. Another wait. In addition the materials which have arrived there is not enough pipework to complete the job. This has now set us back 3 plus months on our build project. Frustrating and poor service.

Omnie works for us

We had an OMNIE system installed in our home after recommendation by our builder. There were a lot of problems with late orders and install but digging deeper each time, the installation company called Elite Renewables either had not ordered the product and on install didn't follow instructions and went totally rogue which was causing a host of problems. Couple of things didn't work even after a myriad of visits by the installation company but Declan from Omnie came and was able to fix the system to work and recommended another fix the other company got wrong. We are very happy with Omnie, the other mentioned company? Not at all.

I am not normally one to leave reviews…

I am not normally one to leave reviews but have been prompted to this time following a situation with one of our clients who read bad reviews and questioned our recommendation for them to use Omnie. I have dealt with Omnie for many years and have no hesitation in recommending them to our clients. Reading through bad reviews I disagree with most of the comments. As an experienced installer I would say most grievances I have read are due to poor installation or lack of knowledge. The only time I had a problem with an installation was due to a faulty Wiring center that I was able to diagnose. A replacement was sent immediately and I was allowed to return the faulty one once I received and fitted the new one. It is always possible for a part to fail, that's life and you have to be pragmatic. On the customer service side, I can say I have never had a bad experience. Omnies staff have always come across as helpful and knowledgeable. Tony Bush

Don’t always trust the plumber

Don’t always trust what the plumber tells you! My plumber didn’t set the new underfloor system up properly so it didn’t heat up as it should with some rooms hot and some freezing cold. Plumber said the system was wrong but he had just hadn’t got the settings right. Declan at OMNIE was really great at explaining what had to be done to get the rooms all at the same temp. Now the house is all warm and working fine. Thanks Declan

Shockingly poor product

Shockingly poor product! I've used Torfloor in the past and it was an adequate system for a suspended floor in a hallway... Torfloor 2 is an inferior product and is not structurally sound. The 12mm pipe system proved difficult to join to the 16mm connection at the manifold. Even though I'd spoke to technical extensively about my existing system they didn't provide the correct information or components. They were inexperienced and incompetent and only interested in making a sale. Having reinforced and insulated the floor joists the new system was installed as per instructions. The 2-part system does not fit together well and there's a lot of structural movement between the upper and lower timber sheets that make the floor up. So much so that I had to add an 8mm screed to stabilise before being able to lay Amtico. The efficiency of the system is extremely poor too and I certainly wouldn't recommend for use with a heat pump. Mine is off a traditional boiler and the output is poor. There are much better systems available out there, Polyflor for one, which can also be used as a structural floor if you reinforce the joists, timber between and lay 6mm ply underneath. The product is far superior, better heat up times, better heat retention and though the structural reinforcement and preparation takes longer the finished product blows Torfloor 2 out of the water. As an engineer I have to say Torfloor is rubbish, expensive and not fit for purpose. I contacted omnie and they we're totally disinterested in anything I had to say. They're response was to say it had been independently assessed and therefore was structurally sound as a replacement floor deck. In my experience it is definitely not. Give this company a wide berth. Product is poor and customer service non existent!

I wouldnt use this company

I wouldnt use this company. I was trying to buy a replacement unit from Declan who rarely responded to emails or call. He informed me he had checked out a unit purchased before sending. when it arrived it was faulty (insufficient gas). When I called I had no reply. You risk having a poor experience and spending all your time chasing up problems if you use this Company.
