Opaque subscription billing and unclear practical value

I stopped using the Lumen device because I did not find the data meaningfully actionable. While it generates readings, it was unclear how to modify behavior based on those readings in a way that felt worthwhile or clearly connected to outcomes. That lack of practical decision-support is why I discontinued use. After deleting the app, I confirmed there was no active subscription visible in my Apple account. I also could not find a clear account portal or subscription management page on Lumen’s website. I later discovered recurring subscription charges that were not accompanied by billing emails, receipts, or renewal notices. The only way to become aware of the subscription was by noticing charges on my credit card statement. When I contacted Lumen, they declined to refund past charges despite these circumstances. I would encourage potential customers to carefully evaluate both whether the data meaningfully informs behavior change for them and how subscription billing and cancellation are handled before purchasing.

it's totally useless

it's totally useless. if I'm moving around, it shows I'm using carbs. if I'm relaxing watching a show, it's on 3 - mixed carb/fat. the only time it went lower was right after I brushed my teeth.

Do NOT BUY!!!

Do NOT BUY!!!! Terrible greedy unresponsive company. Just got mine less than a week ago. App is stuck on screen asking for credit card information even though the membership is not expiring for some time. Help (contact) does NOT respond! I have screen shots. Also, you do have to open the package to know it works. However if product does not work, you cannot return it since you opened the package. WHAT A SCAM!!! Everyone affected should be looking into a remedy for this situation. I sure will be. In other word... Not guaranteed at all. Buy at your own risk!

Lumen is amazing at showing you how different foods affect your metabolism. This allows you to experiment with different food choices until you see which ones help you stay in a fat burning state the longest. I am grateful I purchased it and recommend it 100%

Getting to Know Your Metabolism

This product really delivers. I understand my own body better now than I ever have. The LUMEN makes tracking my metabolism and macros effortless, and healthy weightloss has never been easier. It only took about two weeks of tracking to get a sense of when my body was in ketosis. The weight just starts melting away. I recommend this product to everyone now!

*Updating to 1 star as the company seems to have time to respond to my review but not my support request to return the product. It's clear where their priorities are and its not customer service. Just continuing to scam consumers into purchasing a pointless overpriced product that will do nothing to help with weight loss. Save yourself time and money and just download an AI food tracker if that is what you're looking to do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I’ve just started to use it but so far not impressed. It appears to be an extremely expensive food tracking app that is a pain in the butt. If you cook your own meals and don’t have a prepared food label to scan then it will take forever to record. I’ve tried food tracking apps (that are MUCH CHEAPER) before and never stuck with it because it’s such a pain and time consuming to track. I’ll be looking for a way to return this. I doubt I will stick with another glorified food tracker, and it’s not worth the price. So far the breaths have just shown me right in the middle, effectively telling me nothing. Very disappointed I fell for this.

Definitely not customer friendly

Used the device 9 times. I am currently on Atkins. Found information on the FAQ page that ketosis can cause incorrect readings. It is of no use to me and the return policy is the worst I have ever seen. Seems to be a complete scam in my opinion.

The device does not work as advertised

The device does not work as advertised. I was really disappointed, I was hoping for it to tell me when was the best time to to eat and suggestions as to what to eat, but the most it will do is tell me what I am burning, not as much how to fix it. It is a waste of 300$ and going in the trash.
